Welcome to Hanqing's Home Page!

I grew up in Nanjing, a beautiful historical resort and a modern metropolis by the Yangtze River of China.

I am currently a PhD Candidate in Economics at the University of Illinois at Chicago. I graduated with a master in E-commerce from Nanjing Univeristy. My current research is to explain the motivation of firms' payout policy using basic economic theories and to empirically test the causal effect of peer firms' payout policy on individual firm's payout policy. I had different research experiences on political policy, taxation and public policy, health policy and outcome and government policy outcome. These experiences provide me opportunity to practice large dataset modeling combining knowledge of economics, statistics, geographic information and computer science.

My speicialities are quantitative economic research, economic policy analysis and econometric modeling. I am fluent in both English and Chinese and am familiar with different statistical modeling tools.

I am excited about adventures in life and am eager to learn new things. Please feel free to contact me.
